Nestled in a beautiful location at the foot of the Quantock Hills, our luxurious, handcrafted double shepherds hut offers the whole family space to relax and unwind. With its unique design, we are able to cater for up to 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children.

‘The Mill Pond’ is beautifully situated in an orchard on our family run farm, right next to our very own Mill Pond, from which it takes its name.

Located on Gotton Farm, a family-run farm at the foot of the Quantock Hills, our hut is only 10 minutes away from the centre of Taunton and the M5 motorway junction.

Our lovingly customised Shepherds Hut has been handcrafted to our own specification for your comfort and enjoyment. At the heart, a wood-burning stove provides warmth and a cosy atmosphere throughout the hut. Individualised underfloor heating also runs throughout the Shepherds Hut providing you with additional warmth in the cooler months.

The Mill Pond offers a perfect place to relax and unwind. With the choice of 2 double bedrooms, each with unique views of the Blackdown Hills and an additional pull-out bed in the living space, this hut really can accommodate the whole family.

Wake up to picturesque views of the sunrise and gaze at the beautiful evening stars from the wood-fired hot tub. Idyllic.

Katie is a fantastic host! she was very helpful with instructions and very friendly. She and Tim helped when we asked and their responses were prompt. The hut was well equipped and in an extremely peaceful location. The hot tub was lovely to sit and relax in. It was the perfect little getaway and just what we needed. Thank you.

Would highly recommend this beautiful, idyllic, well presented shepherds hut.The location is just a snip it of heaven. So peaceful, back to nature with no distractions to recharge our batteries.Katie and Ted were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble.We loved it so much we’ve booked for October 🙂Don’t hesitate and book The Croft- you won’t be disappointed

Had a lovely time at the hut. Great location with walks from the door. Very well fitted out and cosy and warm. Hot tub was great! Would like to go again and would recommend the hut as a place to stay, the views were also beautiful. Katie was really nice and helpful.

Spent 2 nights here at The croft. It was incredible! The hut was beautiful inside and out. The outside space was lovely and perfect for our little dog. Was nice being able to see the horses so close to the hut. We loved the views. We had a lovely 30-minute walk to a pub from the hut. Katie and Ted were amazing hosts. Helped us with the fire for the hot tub and brought us some more logs when needed. Highly recommend this hut if you want a lovely peaceful get away. We most definitely will be goinf back.

We had the most amazing stay. It was clean and very well equipped with a comfortable bed. It was so peaceful, and the hot tub was an added bonus. Katie and Ted were really helpful and responded within minutes when we asked a question. Perfect in every way, definitely recommend.
